Lots of biographies. This writer DID NOT approve of the Mennonites whose settlement later became Kidron, Ohio. Still, good information for the county's history up to that year.History of Wayne County Ohio by Ben Douglas is a must for anyone doing family research in Ohio. Mr. Douglas traveled a great deal recording everything he witnessed from wildlife to the Indians, to the pioneers, and their lives. This book covers all counties and has a brief but informative view of life in these counties during the time in which he lived. I have a hard back volume which I purchased years ago from an old book store. This book is full of details of how our ancestors lived as they braved the wild forests, beasts, and rugged lands. It is a reminder of how blessed we are to live in this great country called the United States of America. Thanks to all of our ancestors and those like Mr. Douglas who left us a written record as to how they lived and how they struggled to give us the benefits we all enjoy today. Reading this book will bring the past alive and help you appreciate our world today.
